Lucy Almey Bird

Born in 1973, Luct grew up in the Somerset countryside. From an early age Lucy was encouraged to draw and paint by her parents, both creative people. Her interest was kept alive with regular trips to the major galleries in London. Completely self taught, Lucy paints mostly in acrylic on canvas taking inspiration from everyday life. She particularly enjoys painting whimsical pictures of ladies in domestic scenes. Humour is a thread running through most of her pictures. Lucy hopes to bring a sense of joy and a smile to peoples faces.
