Carry Akroyd's landscapes use bold colours and an almost naïve style, but they pay great attention to the accuracy of wildlife subjects, with superb composition. She is influenced by her interest in geology and history as well as flora and fauna. The poetry of Suffolk poet John Clare is also a great influence. She is a member of the Society of Wildlife artists.
